(Gilda Mejia-Stefani - San Mateo County Jail)
Police in San Bruno say a woman is facing charges after she drove drunk, crashed her car, and then kept driving, all while she had a child sitting in her lap.
47-year-old Gilda Mejia-Stefani was under the influence and driving with small child in the her SUV when she smacked into two parked cars.
She then took off from the scene, but police found her car just a few blocks away and found Mejia-Stefani and the child close by.
Thankfully the child was not hurt in the crash.
Mejia-Stefani was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment.
