Swedish man dies during penis enlargement surgery

The Journal of Forensic Sciences reports that a man in Sweden died during penis enlargement surgery at a private plastic surgery clinic in Stockholm.

It's considered a safe surgery, moving unwanted fat from the patient's belly to his penis, but this marks the first time a man has died during the procedure.

Surgeons began the lengthening by cutting the base of the man's penis to loosen a ligament, then they started injecting 2 fluid ounces of fat cells into his member.

Things went wrong when some of the fat traveled through punctured veins to his lungs, where they ruptured blood vessels. He went into cardiac arrest and was given CPR, but it was too late.

He died hours later.

Doctors think he died because the ligament loosening and the fat injections into the penis shaft were done at the sames time.

The report said:

“This is the first described case where a seemingly simple and safe procedure of penis enlargement by autologous fat transfer caused sudden death in a healthy young man. Perhaps the risk of fat embolization is higher when pretraumatized tissue is subjected to fat injection, like in this case, where a penis elongation by loosening of a penile ligament was performed before the fat injection.”

People, you need to leave your penises alone!
