Former Navy SEAL is man behind Bill Belichick's "Life is great" t-shirt

The t-shirt worn by Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is seeing a surge in sales, according to the shirt's maker.

Jim Amann is a former Navy SEAL and is a L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy. He sells the shirts on his site tridentk9.org, and he plans to donate all of the shirt profits to the Navy SEAL  Foundation.

He told the Boston Herald:

“It’s a worthwhile charity, and I don’t want to make a profit here. This represents more than me and my company, so that charity will get any and all profits from that shirt.”

Photos of Bill Belichick wearing one of Amann's shirts popped up on social media this week. The shirt shows an armed man in a turban being attacked by a military dog and a soldier carrying a rifle, and the words:

“Life is great.”

Amman's company, Trident K9 LLC, supplies police and military K9 gear and training. Selling shirts was never his intention, but because of Belichick he's seen a 500% increase in web traffic.

He says he has know idea how the Patriots coach got his hands on one of the shirts, but he's happy he did:

“It’s always great to see someone who is respected to support our troops in any way. He’s well known for being a supporter of the military, and I think that’s great.”

Right now it says the shirts are sold out, so you'll have to be patient.
