Let's Help Clear The Shelters!

Clear The Shelters

Are you looking for your new best friend?

Well, NBC4 and Telemundo 52 have partnered up for their 5th annual 'Clear The Shelters' campaign and all of us here at KFI want to help because we all love animals!

It is exactly what it sounds like. The goal, to clear out the crowded local shelters and help as many animals as possible find a new home.

Almost 100 shelters across Southern California are participating, CLICK HERE to find the shelter participating near you.

You can start right now, but on Saturday, August 17th, participating locations will be offering reduced adoption fees (some as low as $20) and VCA Animal Hospitals' health teams will be on site to offer a certificate for a free first exam for your new best friend.

Since 2015, 250,000 pets have been adopted nationwide through the Clear The Shelters campaign. Last year, more than 17,000 alone, and it's not just dogs and cats, we're talking reptiles, guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs and more were adopted during the campaign, so let's help them beat that number this year!

NBC4 President and General Manager Steve Carlston says:

"Since we launched Clear The Shelters five years ago, the adoption drive's unprecedented success has become an integral part of the community every year. NBC4 looks forward to continue the tradition of helping alleviate animal overpopulation at shelters and offering affordable adoptions to all our viewers."
