🎼 "I could do this all day!" 🎶 And I really could! Catch new musicals at the Hyperion Theatre in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA!? You better believe it! And having lost Frozen – Live at the Hyperion due to the pandemic, it was so nice to see the house lights come up once again at the Hyperion, but this time with a brand-spankin' new musical based on the opening scene of Hawkeye on Disney+. You guessed it, Rogers: The Musical had its premiere performances this week and opens to the general public tomorrow, 30 June 2023 for a special summer engagement, Tuesday through Saturday, most weeks, until Thursday, 31 August 2023! My husband, Brian, and I were lucky enough to catch one of those preview performances, and here is your spoiler-free review!
Rogers: The Musical focuses on the life of Captain Steven Grant "Steve" Rogers, a World War II vet, a founding member of the Avengers, and Earth's first known superhero. Clocking in at around 30 minutes, you cover the "birth," life, and what's next for Steve with five original songs, incredible costumes, unique practical staging, and one insane LED wall that I'm gonna say give's Industrial Light & Magic's (ILM), "The Volume," a run for its money!
When you head to Disney California Adventure this summer, you have several options for how to catch a performance of the show - traditional queue, virtual queue at 10:30 am daily, and a premium viewing experience - get all the details here!
