It's never too early to figure out what to do #ThisWeekend in and around Southern California, so for this first entry, you know I'm gonna go with what I know and love - Disney! And when it's "Free 99," even better!
Premiering today - Wednesday, 28 June 2023, at the Burbank Town Center Mall in Burbank, CA is "The Joel Magee Disneyland Collection," the largest privately owned collection of Disney Parks memorabilia across the globe! Presented by The Van Eaton Galleries out of Studio City.
The long and the short of it is, The Van Eaton Galleries will be hosting an auction of many of the pieces from the collection beginning on Monday, 17 July (Disneyland's 68th Birthday), through Wednesday, 19 July, but the collection is so massive that their Studio City location isn't big enough to hold all of the theme park ride vehicles, props, signage, vintage souvenirs, and the single most extensive collection of Disneyland Attraction Posters, including some that are THEE absolute originals and THEE only examples known to exist!
But who can afford to buy a ride vehicle from Space Mountain, the Sky Ride, or Snow White's Scary Adventures? And where would you put it? If you're one of the lucky ones that can make this dream a reality, I'm genuinely jealous, but for those, like me, who can't afford that level of investment, today through 16 July, Wednesdays through Sundays, we can enjoy it all, FOR FREE! at the Burbank Town Center Mall at 201 E Magnolia Blvd Burbank, CA 91502 from 11a to 7p!
