A probable fire danger has led to the recall of approximately 92,000 Hyundai and Kia automobiles.

The automakers with Korean roots claim that an electronic controller in the oil pump is prone to heating up and igniting. The recall covers select 2023 Tucson, Sonata, Elantra, and Kona models as well as the 2023 and 2024 Hyundai Palisades.

The 2023 Soul, 2023 Sportage, and certain 2023 and 2024 Seltos are examples of Kia automobiles. In September, letter notifications will be sent to impacted owners. Owners are asked to leave their cars parked outside for the time being.
