Julie Newmar remembers friend and 'Batman' co-star Adam West

We lost another icon of television entertainment on Friday. Adam West, star of the 1960's campy 'Batman' series died after a short battle with leukemia. He was 88 years old.

Mo'Kelly spoke with the original Catwoman, Julie Newmar, about her friend and co-star.

Newmar says she was astonished after hearing about her friend's death, saying that calls poured in from all over the world from people who wanted to know about her friend.

Mo'Kelly asked Newmar about West, how she came to the role of Catwoman, and what it was like working with him on the series.

"His rapport with me was, I guess you'd say, purrrfect..." Newman purred, falling back into her character's signature style.

"I don't ever use the word 'icon', but I think he (West) does fall in that category," Newmar said.
