LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Three men were in the hospital Wednesday -- one in critical condition -- after they were shot by a 40-year-old man in what authorities said Wednesday was gang-related near the Hyde Park neighborhood.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday to 6332 Brynhurst Ave. between West 63rd Street and Hype Park Boulevard regarding a shots fired call. When they arrived, witnesses told officers a 21- year-old man, a 17-year-old and a 36-year-old man were arguing with the suspect when the suspect left and returned with a gun and fired several times at the victims, striking all three of them, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
The shooter was arrested at the scene.
The 36-year-old took himself to a hospital and was listed in critical condition and the other two victims were taken to a hospital in stable condition by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, police said.
