LOS ANGELES (CNS) - L.A. Sparks rookie Cameron Brink will throw the ceremonial first pitch before Monday evening's Dodgers-Arizona Diamondbacks game while teammate Rickea Jackson will make the "It's time for Dodger baseball" announcement.
Brink was the second player chosen in the 2024 draft following a college career at Stanford, where she was twice selected as the national defensive player of the year. The 6-foot-4-inch forward is averaging 7.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 22.4 minutes, starting the Sparks' two games, both losses.
Jackson was the fourth player drafted in the first round following a college career at Tennessee, where she was a two-time All-Southeastern Conference first-team selection. The 6-foot-2-inch forward is averaging 10.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 19.9 minutes off the bench in two games with the Sparks.
