SANTA ANA (CNS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic crash in Santa Ana, authorities said Wednesday.
The collision occurred at about 11 p.m. Tuesday on Bristol Street at Central Avenue, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he died, police said. His name was not immediately available for release.
"Based on the preliminary investigation, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Bristol St. approaching Central Ave. when (a) vehicle traveling south attempted to make an eastbound turn onto Central Ave. and collided with the motorcyclist," police said in a statement.
"The lone driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation when police arrived," police added. "At this time, alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor. The cause of the collision remains under investigation."
