Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision in Palmdale

PALMDALE (CNS) - A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Palmdale, authorities said Monday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on westbound State Route 18 west of 263rd Street East around 11 p.m. Friday.

Investigators said a 2020 Ram was traveling eastbound on State Route 18 west of 263rd Street East while a 2018 Ford was heading westbound. Both vehicles collided and the divers of the Ford, identified as a woman of Lake Balboa in her 50s, sustained fatal injuries, according to CHP.

Her identity was being withheld by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner pending notification of relatives.

Authorities identified the driver of the Ram as 43-year-old James Michael Wolfe of Palmdale. He was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center following the crash.
