Ebony Alert Issued For 14-Year-Old Missing Girl

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - An Ebony Alert was issued Thursday for a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing in South Los Angeles.

Raniyah is Black, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.

She is believed to be traveling on foot.

Anyone who has seen Raniyah or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.

She was last seen on Jan. 5 at 8 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the Ebony Alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The law creating the alert went into effect New Year's Day. It covers Black children, teenagers and young adults 12 to 25 years old who are reported missing under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or who have been abducted.
