LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A pedestrian was killed early Thursday in a hit-and- run crash near Los Angeles International Airport, and the motorist was being sought.
Officers were sent to Sepulveda Boulevard, south of Century Boulevard, about 12:05 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, the woman was outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a gray, late model Chevrolet SUV that was southbound on Sepulveda Boulevard.
The woman, about 20 to 25 years of age, died at the scene. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.
A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by the city of Los Angeles for information that helps solve a fatal hit-and-run.
