SAN CLEMENTE (CNS) - A person was killed Sunday morning in a three- vehicle crash on the San Diego (5) Freeway in San Clemente, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 6:35 a.m. on the northbound freeway at El Camino, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The CHP said witnesses reported that a man was lying on the freeway next to a vehicle.
A representative from the coroner's office was dispatched to the scene at 6:46 a.m.
