Audi Crashes Into Traffic Enforcement Scooter; Rider Has Injuries

SANTA MONICA (CNS) - A traffic services officer with the Santa Monica Police Department is in stable condition after suffering significant injuries when a car crashed into her scooter, authorities said Thursday.

A black Audi was westbound on Santa Monica Boulevard near Yale Street, where the scooter was crossing on a green light when it was hit by the car, the Santa Monica Police Department reported.

Officers dispatched to the crash scene about 2 p.m. Wednesday reported that the traffic enforcement officer had been ejected from the scooter and was suffering from significant injuries. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

No information about the driver of the car was provided.
