Man Fatally Stabbed in Hacienda Heights

HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CNS) - Detectives arrested a suspect Friday in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man on the border of Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies were called at 11:28 p.m. Thursday to the 1600 block of South Azusa Avenue, south of the Pomona (60) Freeway regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call.  Upon their arrival, they found  the victim on the sidewalk with an apparent stab wound, said homicide Lt. Omar Camacho.

The victim, who authorities said was between 30 and 35 years old, was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A knife was recovered at the scene.

The name, age and gender of the suspect was not released.
