Driver Killed in Lancaster Fatal Crash Identified

LANCASTER (CNS) - The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office Monday identified a 22-year-old man who was killed in a head-on crash in Lancaster that also left a second driver dead and three passengers.

The deadly crash happened around 12:45 p.m. Sunday on Avenue E and 60th Street East, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

A Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Silverado slammed into each other, according to a videographer at the scene.

The two drivers died at the scene, the fire department reported.

The medical examiner's office on Monday identified one of the drivers who died as Hugo Amparo Ramirez. The name of the other driver was not yet released.

Three other people were injured, two critically. An update on their conditions was not immediately available Monday.

The cause of the crash was under investigation by the sheriff's Lancaster station.
