LAKE VIEW TERRACE (CNS) - Firefighters Thursday were battling a brush fire that burned approximately two acres of vegetation in Lopez Canyon in Lake View Terrace with no reported injuries or structural damage.

Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters were assisting their colleagues from the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Forest Service assigned to the Angeles National Forest in battling the fire in the 11900 block of North Lopez Canyon Road near Paxton Street, according to spokeswoman Margaret Stewart of the LAFD.

It's unclear what may have sparked the flames, but ABC7 reported a possible trash fire may have been the cause.
