Authorities ID Man Killed in Norwalk Double-Fatal Shooting

NORWALK (CNS) - Authorities Tuesday identified a man who was killed in a weekend shooting in Norwalk that also left a woman dead and another man wounded.

The shooting was reported at 8:39 p.m. Sunday in the 12700 block of Pioneer Boulevard, south of Imperial Highway and north of Firestone Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responding to a report of gunshots found a man inside a vehicle suffering from multiple wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's department reported.

On Tuesday, the fatally wounded man was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as 26-year-old Jobani Meza.

The deputies found a man and woman in the area who had also been shot, and they were taken for hospital treatment in critical condition. The woman died at a hospital, authorities said on Monday morning. Her name was withheld, pending notification of relatives.
