Motorist Killed in Fiery Crash With FedEx Truck on I-5 in Tustin

TUSTIN (CNS) - A motorist was killed Saturday when his vehicle rear-ended a Federal Express truck, which left the vehicle fully engulfed in flames on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Tustin, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 2:50 a.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway at Tustin Ranch Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A representative from the Orange County coroner's office was called to the location at 3:16 a.m. and the roadway was cleared at 5:45 a.m., the CHP said.

No further information was immediately available.
