LOS ANGELES (CNS) - "RuPaul's Drag Race" and "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" combined to earn a leading five nominations Monday for the fifth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards, honoring unscripted and reality programming.
Both shows were nominated for best competition series, along with "The Amazing Race," "Lego Masters," "Survivor" and "The Traitors."
For best talent/variety competition series, nominations went to "America's Got Talent," "America's Got Talent: All Stars," "Dancing with the Stars," "The Masked Singer," "My Kind of Country" and "The Voice."
Competing for best culinary show will be "The Big Brunch," "José Andrés and Family in Spain," "Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines," "Selena + Chef," "Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi" and "Top Chef."
The winners will be announced on June 15, but due to the Writers Guild of America strike, there will not be a live, in-person ceremony. The winners will be revealed "through a special announcement."
"Looking over the list of this year's nominees, we can't think of a better way to celebrate the fifth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards than by calling attention to so many of the talented and diverse individuals who continue to make unscripted television an essential genre on broadcast, cable and streaming," Critics Choice Association TV Branch Co-President Ed Martin said in a statement.
