Workers Trapped in Building Collapse at Construction Site in Glendale

GLENDALE (CNS) - Firefighters rescued up to six workers today who were trapped when a structure partially collapsed at a building construction site in Glendale.

The problem was reported late Wednesday morning in the 1200 block of South Glendale Avenue. Five workers were taken to hospitals for examination, but none was seriously injured, according to reports from the scene that said the workers were using a crane to install large metal roof trusses on the building. No injuries were immediately reported. The circumstances of the collapse were under investigation.
