Motorcyclist Killed in Pomona Crash Identified

POMONA (CNS) - A motorcyclist killed in a Pomona traffic collision was identified Monday as a 34-year-old Chino resident.

Henry Eric Vanderveen was killed in the crash, which occurred around 9:15 p.m. Sunday at East End Avenue and Third Street, according to the coroner's office and the Pomona police Traffic Services Bureau.

Arriving officers found the Vanderveen down with severe injuries, police said. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rendered aid, but he died at the scene.

The other driver involved in the crash was not injured, police said.

The crash forced the temporary closure of East End Avenue from Mission Boulevard to the First Street Bridge.
