LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities Friday identified a motorist who was killed in a car crash in the Palms area of Los Angeles.

Joshua Bodor, 19, whose city of residence was unknown, died in the crash that occurred off the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway west of Manning Avenue, according to the coroner's office.

Officers responded to the location around 7:35 a.m. Thursday and found that a car had hit a tree and the motorist had died, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It was unclear how long the wreckage was at the location before being discovered.

``This incident may have occurred one or more days ago, and was possibly delayed in being reported to 911," according to a Los Angeles Fire Department statement on Thursday.
