SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 60-year-old man twice convicted of exposing himself in public has been charged with sitting nude in a vehicle in Rancho Santa Margarita, a sheriff's sergeant said Wednesday.
Robert Allan Suess was charged Tuesday with a felony count of indecent exposure with a prior conviction for the same crime. He pleaded not guilty and was next due in court April 19 for a pretrial hearing in the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.
Deputies were dispatched at 5:18 p.m. on Easter Sunday regarding a nude man in a vehicle in the 30000 block of Esperanza Road, according to Sgt. Mike Woodroof of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Suess, who posted bail and was released from custody Wednesday, pleaded guilty May 22, 2018, to a misdemeanor count of lewd conduct in a public place. As part of the plea deal, a felony count of indecent exposure with a prior conviction and a felony count of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
Suess was convicted April 16, 2015, of misdemeanor counts of lewd conduct in a public place and indecent exposure, according to court records.
