UNIVERSAL CITY (CNS) - Fallen trees caused a power outage in Universal City, Studio City and the Hollywood Hills that lasted through the night leaving residents in the dark Tuesday.

Crews from the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power are working to restore the power lines that were affected by the fallen trees. The power outage was first reported at 7 p.m. Monday.

LADWP tweeted that the estimated time of restoration was midnight, "provided field conditions do not change."

However, as of 2:17 a.m., some customers in the affected areas were reporting that power has not been restored.
