Police Seek Possibly Armed Suspect in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man who was believed armed and barricaded in a building in the downtown Los Angeles area Friday was not at the location, and the investigation was continuing, authorities said.

Officers went to the 600 block of South Spring Street to serve a warrant at about 3 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Police summoned a SWAT team, believing the suspect was inside, and surrounded the location. At about 7:30 a.m., authorities determined that the suspect was not there, police said.

No further information was immediately available.
