HERMOSA BEACH (CNS) - Two suspects were arrested today on suspicion of attempted murder stemming from a shooting that left a man injured in Hermosa Beach.

John Lars Holland, 74, and John Rogers, 68, were arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred around 8:30 p.m. Monday near the 2000 block of Hermosa Avenue, according to the Hermosa Beach Police Department. Police said shots were fired from a vehicle toward a male victim who was in a parked car. The victim suffered only minor injuries. It was unclear if the person was actually shot or suffered related injuries. According to police, at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, investigators spotted the vehicle that was believed to be tied to the shooting and arrested the driver, Holland.

During the arrest, detectives recovered a 9mm semi-automatic handgun from the vehicle, consistent with the gun used in the Monday night attack, police said. Rogers was tracked to a residence on Tuesday afternoon, and he surrendered to authorities around 3 p.m., police said. ``I commend our detectives and patrol officers who did a phenomenal job solving the crime and arresting the suspects in less than 24 hours,'' Hermosa Beach police Chief Paul LeBaron said in a statement. ``I also want to thank Manhattan, Gardena and El Segundo police departments for their help.'' Police asked anyone who had further information on Monday's shooting or even surveillance video of the attack to contact detectives at 310-318-0360.
