Driver Uninjured When Vehicle Struck by Gunfire in Westminster

WESTMINSTER (CNS) - A man driving in Westminster Saturday was confronted by a suspect in an SUV who fired shots at his vehicle.

The shooting occurred about 4:40 a.m. in the 13200 block of Jasperson Way, according to Westminster police Sgt. Eddie Esqueda. It is a residential area near Beach Boulevard and the Garden Grove (22) Freeway.

The victim was confronted by an unknown suspect driving a white SUV, who fired several rounds at the victim, striking his vehicle once, Esqueda said.

"The victim was not injured and was able to leave the area safely before calling the police," he said. "Officers located casings at the scene and found no other victims of the shooting."
