Man Fatally Shot in Koreatown Area; Investigation Underway

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man was fatally shot in a parking lot in the Koreatown area, and authorities Friday sought the public's help to find the gunman.

The man, in his 60s, was wounded about 7 p.m. Thursday near Vermont Avenue and Sixth Street and died at the scene, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. Information on his identity was not immediately available.

The suspect, described only as a man, ran from the scene and was being sought, police said. A motive for the crime was not known.
