NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Authorities Thursday identified a man who was hit by a vehicle and killed while riding a scooter in the North Hollywood area.
Andrew Belcher, 30, was injured about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday on Vineland Avenue near Riverside Drive, and he died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office and the Los Angeles Police Department. His city of residence was not known.
According to police, Belcher was southbound on Vineland in the bike lane when he was hit from behind by a southbound vehicle.
The motorist remained at the scene, and the crash was under investigation, police said.
