LONG BEACH (CNS) - An apartment fire in Long Beach early Wednesday left a man dead, authorities said.
The fire, reported about 3:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Walnut Avenue, was quickly extinguished, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
Information on the identity of the man, described as "elderly," was not immediately available, the Los Angeles County coroner's office reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
