COMPTON (CNS) - A series of raids by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Organized Crime Task Force in Compton led to the arrests of four people and seizures of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and weapons, officials said Monday.

Task force members served warrants in multiple locations at 4 p.m. Feb. 9, according to the sheriff's department.

During the searches, investigators seized three rifles, 10 handguns, a large amount of ammunition, two pounds of heroin, one ounce of cocaine, digital scales, packaging for illegal narcotics, methamphetamine and about $9,000 in U.S. currency, officials said.

Detectives did not release the names of the suspects who were arrested.

"It should be noted that several of the firearms were stolen, and some of the firearms were ghost guns with no serial numbers," according to the sheriff's department.
