Shooting Suspect Arrested Following Police Pursuit, Crash

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Los Angeles Police Department officers arrested a shooting suspect Monday who led them on a chase from Jefferson Park to the Inglewood area.

The chase ended early Monday afternoon when the suspect's vehicle crashed on a collector road to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near Manchester Boulevard, according to the LAPD and the California Highway Patrol.

The motorist tried to run off, but was taken into custody at that location. His name was not immediately available.

According to the LAPD, the chase began near Ninth Avenue and Exposition Boulevard, and the motorist was a shooting suspect. Details of the crime were not immediately available.
