Suspect in Custody After Standoff at Commerce Casino

COMMERCE (CNS) - A man allegedly armed with a knife was taken into custody Tuesday following a standoff with law enforcement at the Commerce Casino.

Authorities went to the casino at 6121 Telegraph Road at about 6 a.m. on a report that an assault with a deadly weapon suspect armed with a knife was at the location, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The casino was partially evacuated, and paramedics were sent to the scene as a precaution. The standoff continued until shortly before 8 a.m., when the man was taken into custody.

According to Fox11, the man was allegedly involved in a dispute in a card room and threatened to stab people. After his arrest, he was reportedly taken to a hospital for an unspecified reason.
