1 Person Gravely Injured in Arlington Heights Residential Fire

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS (CNS) - One person was taken to a hospital in grave condition today after being pulled out of a residential fire in Arlington Heights.

The blaze in the two-story home at 1832 S. Arlington Ave. was reported around 10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It took fire crews about 18 minutes to douse the flames. Fire officials said the blaze only affected the first floor.

During a search of the home, fire crews found the gravely injured patient inside. There was no immediate information on the person's age or gender. No one else was found inside the home, according to the LAFD. The cause of fire was not immediately available.
