MONTEREY PARK (CNS) - A firefighter was injured Monday battling a fire at a restaurant in Monterey Park.
The fire was reported about 8:40 a.m. in the 700 block of South Atlantic Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which assisted Monterey Park firefighters sent to the scene.
According to KTLA5, the fire apparently started in the kitchen of the closed restaurant and spread to the attic space before being extinguished in about 45 minutes.
Also assisting at the scene were personnel from the Alhambra and Montebello fire departments. The firefighter suffered minor injuries, an official told KTLA5.
