LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Rodney King's youngest daughter Tristan King, who had been reported missing by her family, has actually been in custody for nearly two weeks following her arrest on suspicion of burglary by Los Angeles police, authorities said today.

King, 29, was reported missing on Friday, according to the Santa Monica Police Department, which had sought the public's help to find her.

On Tuesday morning, the Los Angeles Police Department reported that King was arrested by LAPD officers about 11:50 a.m. April 28 and booked on suspicion of residential burglary. Details of the alleged crime were not released. She was subsequently charged with burglary, pleaded not guilty on May 3 and remains jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department records.

She is due back in court May 16 for a preliminary hearing, according to court records.

According to Santa Monica police Lt. Rudy Flores, King had last been seen in Las Vegas on April 26.

``She told her family she was traveling to the Los Angeles area to `visit the beach in Santa Monica and family in Fullerton,''' Flores said in a statement earlier Tuesday morning, when King's whereabouts were still unknown.

Flores said King had last contacted her family on April 27, and ``told them that she lost her cell phone and was using a `stranger's phone.'''

Lora King, Rodney King's middle daughter, told the Los Angeles Times that her sister, of Nevada, was last seen at the beach in Santa Monica on April 28.

Rodney King's beating by Los Angeles Police Department officers and their subsequent acquittal ignited the Los Angeles riots 30 years ago last month.
