In Southern California, many people, including children are worried about their safety as a result of recent increase of homeless encampments. According to Westside Current, children are suffering from PTSD and blame Councilman Mike Bonin for his homeless policies.
Homeless people continue to struggle with mental health issues, and according to advocates, these violent acts are frequently the result of mental health episodes.
Months before a woman was violently assaulted by a homeless person in Torrance; a homeless guy was seen on camera using a pair of gardening shears to stab a woman in the head, and a homeless guy was detained in Long Beach after allegedly fatally stabbing one of four persons, according to KTLA reports.
