Congresswoman Names Her Thanksgiving a 'Turkey Funeral' to Avoid Violation

A newly-elected Congresswoman in Colorado came up with a way to celebrate Thanksgiving with more than 30 people, while technically not violating the state’s coronavirus restrictions... She just called her Thanksgiving dinner a “turkey funeral.”

“In Colorado, Thanksgiving is limited to 10 people, but funerals are limited to 30," Lauren Boebert told Fox News. "So I'm going to have a peaceful funeral for a turkey and have about 30 people at my house."

Not only did the Congresswoman-elect take advantage of the loophole, but she also bragged about it online the day before Thanksgiving.

But not everyone was impressed with Boebert’s rebranding decision...

Governor Jared Polis wrote on his Facebook page, “Congresswomen-elect Boebert is calling her Thanksgiving a 'turkey funeral' and hosting over 30 people. My hope and prayer is that it doesn’t turn into a real funeral for any of the attendees.”
