State Measure 13: California Proposition 13, the School and College Facilities Bond.

Description:

A "yes" vote supports this measure to authorize $15 billion in general obligation bonds for school and college facilities, including $9 billion for preschool and K-12 schools, $4 billion for universities, and $2 billion for community colleges.

A "no" vote opposes this measure to authorize $15 billion in general obligation bonds for school and college facilities.

John and Ken Say: Vote NO!

No more borrowing! Measure 13 is a $15 billion bond measure for school construction. The state is always bragging about its huge budget surplus, but it's still saddled with a TON of long-term debt. This is a 35-year payout at over $740 million a year. NO MORE DEBT!

For LA County Voters

Measure FD: Los Angeles County Fire District Measure FD

A"yes" vote supports authorizing the district to levy an annual parcel tax of $0.06 per square foot of structural improvements on property up to 100,000 square feet and excluding parking areas.

A"no" vote opposes authorizing the district to levy an annual parcel tax of $0.06 per square foot of structural improvements on property up to 100,000 square feet and excluding parking areas.

John and Ken Say: Vote NO!

This is a property tax increase that will never expire. And it can go up over 2% a year. The County has been rolling in property tax money with the housing boom. Fortunately, the measure needs a 2/3rds vote - let's hope the voters aren't gullible.

LA County District Attorney

John and Ken Say: Vote for Jackie Lacey!

DO NOT VOTE FOR GEORGE GASCON, former San Francisco District Attorney and author of Proposition 47. What a disaster - don't bring any more of the dirty feces and needle-laden streets of San Francisco to Los Angeles.

LA County Board of Supervisors 4th District

John and Ken Say: DO NOT VOTE FOR JANICE HAHN.

No more dud Hahns. A dopey dynasty that must end.

Measure R: Los Angeles County, California, Measure R, Civilian Police Oversight Commission and Jail Plan Initiative

A "yes" vote supports authorizing the Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission to develop a plan designed to reduce jail population and incarceration and granting the commission subpoena power to investigate complaints.

A "no" vote opposes authorizing the Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission to develop a plan designed to reduce jail population and incarceration and granting the commission subpoena power to investigate complaints.

John and Ken Say: Vote NO

You might think it sounds like a good idea right? After all, giving more investigative powers for a civilian commission looking at the LA County Sheriff's Department and Jails is something that's badly needed. However, buried in the measure is a requirement that the commission reduce the county's jail population. That's a NO NO poison pill.

Many of you will see local tax measures on your city and town ballots(usually sales taxes).

John and Ken say vote : NO These tax increases are probably to cover the outrageous public employee pensions started by Gray Davis twenty years ago.

California's 8th Congressional District

Vote Tim Donnelly for California’s 8th Congressional District which spans from Joshua Tree to Tahow.

Tim was one of the original Minuteman leaders and led the charge to repeal the Dream Act, which gives illegal aliens free college tuition funded by you and I.
