Good Samaritan Jump-Kicks Violent Transient

The transients are at it again, and this time they're getting jump-kicked in the stomach.

Surveillance footage captured the scene Monday evening in downtown Los Angeles when a homeless man waving a piece of plywood with a nail in it approaches a man walking his dog. The homeless man attacks the innocent victim in an unprovoked attack and strikes him in the head, hospitalizing him with a 'severe gash to his lip'.

“His injuries were very very graphic, very tough to look at and try to hold a conversation with him, very large gash on his lip where his lip was slightly hanging,” said Claudia Oliveira, a friend of the victim.

A Good Samaritan sees the attack and then proceeds to use a flying kick to knock the transient down.

Corey Smith, a nearby resident, told FOX 11 he heard a commotion outside, and witnessed the bystander going after the transient after the attack and said several other men, including himself, chased after the suspect down the street and eventually caught up to him.

“I told him you know you’re going to jail, this is a citizens arrest, don’t move, the cops are coming,” Smith said. “He turned around and said f**k you, get out of the way and turned to take off and one of the gentlemen I was with tackled him.”

Accoridng to LAPD, the suspect, a 36-year-old black man was arrested and the victim was hospitalized as of Tuesday night. His friends say he will have to have plastic surgery as a result of his injuries.
