More toll lanes are coming to the Inland Empire, and yet again we're fed the same nonsense that toll lanes reduce traffic. They don't, they make traffic worse.
If there's another lane, why should drivers have to pay more to use it? The gas tax and car tax, the cap-and-trade gas tax, now throw in toll lanes?! California is punishing people for driving cars!
The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority is going forward with plans for a 33-mile corridor on the 10 Freeway that would put in two toll lanes from the L.A. County line near Montclair east to Redlands.
The $1.8 billion project will be the first in that county. Toll Free IE has been fighting this for three years, and today they filed a lawsuit with the San Bernardino Superior Court to try to stop the toll lanes on the 10.
