In a weekend that delivered both suspense and inspiration at the box office, audiences are turning out for two very different films: How to Make A Killing and I Can Only Imagine 2.

How to Make A Killing leans into dark comedy and thriller territory, following an ordinary protagonist who stumbles into extraordinary circumstances. The film starring Glen Powell balances sharp humor with escalating tension, appealing to viewers who enjoy morally messy characters and twist-driven storytelling. While not a blockbuster spectacle, it delivers tight pacing and strong performances that keep audiences engaged.

On the other end of the spectrum, I Can Only Imagine 2 builds on the success of the original faith-based hit, continuing its themes of redemption, forgiveness and perseverance. The sequel doubles down on emotional storytelling, designed for family audiences and church groups looking for uplifting content. Early reactions suggest it will resonate strongly with its core fan base.

The entertainment world is also remembering Eric Dane, the actor best known for his role as Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy. Dane passed away on Thursday at the age of 53 after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease he publicly disclosed last year. His family shared that he died surrounded by loved ones, including his wife and two daughters, and that he spent his final months advocating for ALS awareness and research.

Heather shares a story with Gary and Shannon about what it was like working with him on Grey's Anatomy many years ago. It's a moving moment in the show you won't want to miss.

Make sure you listen to the weekly Entertainment Report every Friday on Gary and Shannon. And you can catch Entertain Me with Heather Brooker every week (sometimes twice!) wherever you get your podcasts.
