Why Every Olympics Need A 'Regular Gary'

The Olympics feature the best athletes in the world performing superhuman feats and making them look easy. From skiing uphill at 12 mph to ripping down the slopes at speeds approaching 100 mph to doing backflips on ice skates, Olympic athletes stretch the bounds of what a human can do, all in search of a coveted gold medal.

Gary and Shannon were discussing the 2026 Winter Olympics and suggested that the Games need a normal person to demonstrate each event, so people can see how much better Olympic athletes are compared to a regular person.

"I love the idea, and it's been talked about so many times about having a regular person alongside the Olympians try to do these events, um, just to give you perspective," Shannon said. "And I really I mean, I know it's been done as a bit, but it would be nice to see. It would be cool to see."
