KFI's Bill Handel spoke about the conflicting narratives about the recent fatal shooting of Alex Pretti at the hands of a border patrol agent in Minneapolis. On one hand, you the Trump administration painting Pretti as a domestic terrorist who showed up with a loaded gun and got into a violent confrontation with border patrols agents before he was shot.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem told the press that Pretti “arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage on individuals and to kill law enforcement.”
However, video evidence appears to contradict the government's narrative. The video shows Pretti, rushing over to help a woman who was shoved to the ground by a border patrol agents. He was holding his cell phone to record the incident and does not appear to draw his gun. He was then tackled by border patrol agents, who appeared to take his gun before they opened fire.
Handel blasted the Trump administration for trying to contradict what Americans can clearly see with their own eyes.
"And here's what's going on unfortunately with the administration, and I and I have said that. Uh, go out in the rain and have the administration say the sun is out and you have a number of Republicans saying, yes, the sun is out as they are drenched with water, but the sun is out because I'm told the sun is out."
