Igor, a quirky rescue dog from Renegade Paws Rescue in Savannah, Georgia, is on the brink of finding a new home. Described humorously as a "cursed Victorian child masquerading as a 10-pound stuffed animal," Igor's adoption post quickly went viral, capturing the attention of animal lovers nationwide.
Renegade Paws Rescue's playful description of Igor as a "sentient middle finger wrapped in a cloud of fur" has been shared over 86,000 times on social media. The post humorously highlights Igor's unique personality, stating that he "materializes in doorways and stares at corners" and prefers plotting "evil schemes" over traditional dog activities like going to the park.
Igor's antics even earned him a spot on the 'TODAY' show, where he charmed hosts and viewers alike. Despite his mischievous reputation, Igor's viral fame has led to a flood of adoption applications from people eager to give him a loving home. According to People, Igor's foster mom and the adoption team are currently sifting through these applications.
Jennifer Taylor, the director of Renegade Paws Rescue, expressed her delight at the attention Igor has brought to the shelter. "We have a huge overpopulation crisis [of dogs] in Georgia, and we'll take any chance we can to get to talk with people about adoption, fostering, spay/neuter, and volunteering," she told Yahoo News.
