Two Injured in Culver City Collision

CULVER CITY (CNS) - A collision that overturned a car in Culver City Wednesday left two people hospitalized, authorities said.

A Volvo SUV traveling east on Barman Street collided with a Volkswagen SUV traveling north on Elenda Street, near Culver City High School, just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Culver City Police Department reported.

A police spokeswoman told City News Service the Volvo was overturned in the crash. One female occupant was taken to a hospital for non-life- threatening injuries and a child was reported uninjured, police said.

A male occupant of the Volkswagen was also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, police added.

The collision led to a temporary traffic shutdown in the area.
