There is no better time to enjoy a hearty bowl of hot soup than when the weather is chilly and unstable, causing many to get the sniffles this time of year.
Let's set the scene.
You look out the window, slightly glazed with sleet and snow from hours prior, only to notice that there's more frost on the ground than snow in the trees and your driveway is dusted with a fresh layer of flakes. It's dark outside and you haven't eaten dinner yet as the wind whistle through the streets and wrap around each house, covering the neighborhood in an invisible frigid gloss. You get a shiver from your surroundings so you decide to curl up on the couch in a cozy blanket and turn your favorite show on. Everything is nearly perfect, when all of a sudden, you hear your loved one sneeze and cough in the other room. Great.
It's time to say goodbye to 2024 and hellloooo to soup season and all the good health that comes with it.
According to a list compiled by Yelp, the best soup in all of California can be found at Thanh Tinh Chay in San Diego. Yelp recommended trying the Roasted Duck Wonton Soup.
Here's what Yelp had to say about sourcing the data to discover the absolute best place to order a bowl of soup in each state:
"This is an all-time list of the top spots for soup in each state according to Yelp. We identified businesses in the food and restaurants categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning 'soup,' then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning 'soup.' This list looked at businesses in the US. All businesses were marked open on Yelp as of December 27, 2023."
